Some Jason Becker Vids
Today seems like a good day to put up some Jason Becker vids 8)
A young Jason doing a cover of an Yngwie tune. Amazing technique and lots of showmanship, despite the guy at the start trying to make him turn down his amp [superemotions file=”icon_lol.gif” title=”Laughing Out Loud”]
Some insane solo shredding in his Cacophony days, including playing guitar and using a yo-yo at the same time!
Even without the distortion, it sounded good 😉
George Lynch – Mr Scary
George Lynch playing Mr. Scary with Souls of We at the Avalon in Santa Clara, Ca. on August 28, 2009.
George Lynch is just too cool, even when playing a Les Paul [superemotions file=”icon_razz.gif” title=”Razzberry”]
Now We Run – Steve Vai
Steve Vai and the String Theories band perform the opening track “Now We Run” from the new DVD “Live In Minneapolis – Where The WIld Things Are”.
This DVD is on my want list for sure [superemotions file=”icon_cool.gif” title=”Cool”]
Bob Zabek – Walk On Water
Bob Zabek does some of the most inventive tapping I’ve heard for a very long time. Here’s a live version of my favourite track of his, Walk On Water, from his YouTube channel:
Hard To Say I’m Sorry Solo
Currently I’m working on a cover of Chicago’s song “Hard To Say I’m Sorry” with Raf and Cara. Here’s the solo, sans backing track. Yes, I look homeless, and no I don’t care 😛
Guitar is a Jackson Dinky with Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups. Volume and tone knobs removed for extra 80’s metal tones 😉
We’re still working on the other guitar parts and video editing, so I’ll post that once it’s all finished.
